Grossman & Grossman Internship Program is comprehensive program that focuses on preparing clinicians for the behavioral health field. Providing a opportunity to learn and develop skills in trauma informed care with a focus on Somatic approaches. We work with families to meet their goals while focusing on their strengths. Rachel Barcelo, LMSW, is our Intern Supervisor that oversees training and supervision for our interns.

Function and Responsibility:

·       Co-facilitate therapy and counseling to children, adolescents and their families and adults in either an office location or out of office locations such as home, school, group home, court or detention setting.

 

Required Qualifications:

·       Active Enrollment in an Accredited Master’s Level Program and placed by that school to participate in a clinical education experience.

Duties:

·       To complete agency orientation regarding the electronic medical records program

·       To review agency assessments

·       To complete zoom intakes with prospective clients, completing necessary paperwork in detail and with signatures

·       Complete a weekly calendar of appointments and administrative time on EMRBear

·       To follow up with clients on the waiting list, completing contact logs or case management case notes

·       To shadow and/or co-facilitate individual and/or family counseling with an agency therapist

·       To maintain and review case notes for each session with the agency therapist

·       To complete supervision logs for signature

·       To attend scheduled weekly supervision and training sessions

·       To maintain a current fingerprint clearance card

·       To submit a signed and notarized background criminal affidavit

·       To provide a copy of master’s program transcripts
